We have always thought about buying meat in bulk online, but have never jumped in until now. We were recently introduced to The Savory Butcher and their local fresh meat deliveries.
You know that we are bargain shoppers. However, the quality and the pricing that The Savory Butcher offers really piqued our interest. This is a really great way to lock in a good price on a large quantity of quality meat. If you don’t have time to hunt for meat bargains in the traditional way, this could save you a lot of time and money.

How Do You Buy Meat in Bulk Online?
This program is offered through The Savory Butcher. They are a growing meat co-op. It is a unique process, but the rewards in quality, freshness, and value are worth the wait.
You order your meat selection now, and put down a small deposit, for a pickup date 1-4 months from now.
They regularly run discounts for their ground beef, bacon, boneless, skinless chicken breasts and steaks.
Just click on our SavoryButcher sign up link here so you can be notified of their special pricing.
New Customer Deals if you sign up with The SavoryButcher though our link, you’ll receive a $5 discount on your order. It’s not much, but it does save you some money.
This is how a group buying system works. When many can order directly from the supplier, it drives the price down. As a result, this buying is done each month, with pick up down the road, to ensure that the requirements of the group discount price are met.
You order the meats in bulk about the size of a 40-pound case. One or a couple of families can split a case. You can even invite several friends over for a bulk-cooking day. Or you can do a meal prep day yourself, and have lots of dinners in the freezer for the future.
Sale offerings are changing all of the time.
There are several options, but each option is only offered a few times per year. So the specific offerings and sales at the time of sign up will vary depending on the month!
How to pick up your bulk meat order
At the specified day/time of your local pickup, a refrigerated truck will arrive in your area.
You will drive to your pickup location on the day and time of your pickup event, generally within 30 minutes. And the delivery will be in the parking lot of a private business or organization where arrangements have been made.
You don’t even have to get out of your car. You just pull your car up in line. When it’s your turn, roll down your window and give the driver your name, pop your trunk and they will place a plastic sheet down to protect your vehicle and load your order into your trunk.
All you have to do is drive home with your order! This is very convenient!

We will be shooting a video when we receive our 40-pound box of boneless, skinless chicken breast. We will be breaking the meat up into 13 meals at 3 pounds of chicken per meal so we have leftovers for lunch and two dinners per meal.
Why would I buy meat online instead of at the grocery store?
If you are a real bargain shopper at the grocery store, then this program may not be for you. But if time is an issue and getting to the store for food shopping is difficult, then this could be the perfect solution!
Yes, it is a lot of meat at once, but if you have an extra freezer, all you need to do is repackage the meat into smaller quantity packages and load them into your freezer!
Savory Butcher offers many different selections of beef, as well as a variety of chicken, and bacon. They are new and growing, so more varieties of meat are being added at a slow pace.
The cost can be 30-50% less than the grocery store depending on the meat selected.
Most of all, the meat is delivered farm fresh, never frozen. It comes directly from the farms, so it is very fresh, as opposed to meats in the grocery store, which often go through a long journey to arrive at their destination.
The quality of The Savory Butcher is compared to the higher quality options in the grocery store. The local farms are handpicked and Savory Butcher is committed to providing the highest quality. If at any time a farm does not meet The Savory Butcher’s strict standards, they will drop this farm and meat will not be available in this area until an acceptable replacement is found. So most of it is not organic, but it’s pretty darn close. And they do now offer organic chicken.
It’s convenient when you buy meat in bulk online!
Bulk buying and bulk food prepping are so popular because it saves you time in the long run. Many grocery store chains will now deliver your groceries, or they will shop for you, and you can pick up your order later.
