This Family Friendly TV Shows We Love contains a growing list of some of our favorite TV Series!

We have never watched a lot of TV, but over the years have bought up DVD sets (or borrowed them from the library first) of some classic TV Shows that encourage family values.

The Waltons

By far, The Waltons is one of our most dear TV series. We’ve purchased every season and regularly revisit the family that lived and worked and died on Walton’s Mountain. We even went so far as to visit the Walton’s Mountain Museum in Skylar Virginia – the home of Earl Hammner – the creator of the series.

The Walton series is full of family values, commitment, honesty, the value of hard work, and family fun. Watching the kids grow up from one season to the next is fun too.

This show is great for kids and families!

The Munsters

They are a family of friendly monsters who have misadventures on a regular basis. They can never quite understand why people react to them so strangely.

They’re honest and sweet, but quirky. Herman (the father) is similar to Frankenstein’s monster but has a sweet personality and a great smile.

Lily (his wife) and Grandpa (her father) are vampires. Eddie (their little son) is a werewolf. Marilyn (their niece) is the only normal one (that is the ugly duckling of the family).

The show only ran for 2 seasons but is worth watching.
