Wonderful show, good discs, frustrating container

Wonderful show, good discs, frustrating container
The Show Itself:I would give the show 5 stars. I think most people know this is a cute, funny, wholesome show. We grew up on this show and enjoy watching it and feeling cozy. The DVDs Themselves:I would give the DVDs 3 stars. I bought this set of all the seasons together because it was the cheaper than buying the seasons separately. All 20 DVDs arrived in good working condition – no scratches and all played in my DVD player.Every episode name that is on a disc is written on each disc. The quality of the picture and color is mostly good, but for some scenes the quality and color are degraded. (I noticed it is also like this on the streaming episodes on Hulu, so it is probably just the film itself.)I included a picture of the back of the box so the aspect ratio, run time, and all the other information is evident. The case that houses the DVDs is not a good one and is frustrating. A few of the DVDs were loose upon arrival (though luckily still in good condition). It is very difficult to get most of the DVDs out of the sleeves. I have to push so hard on the little tabs that it hurts my fingers. Also, so as not to break a disc trying to get it out, I have to remove a disk behind the stuck one, to allow the plastic sleeve to bend just slightly enough to get the stuck one out. Also, the outer case doesn’t close easily, and when it does, then it is hard to get it open.I decided it was worth it for me to put all the discs in another holder, so I don’t have to go through all that trouble every time I want to watch them. I like the CheckOutStore brand of DVD holders, because they keep the discs in well and they don’t fall out, but they are very easy to release by just pressing the middle round tab. Their plastic is also not too rigid and not too flexible. Unfortunately, from what I can tell, this brand doesn’t sell 4 disc holders (which would have been great to have one holder per season); so I opted for their 2 disc holders (I got a pack of ten, 14 mm standard size; sold here on Amazon). I did a little DIY to have a presentable box set of the ten sleeves. I scanned in the original cover images, added a text box for the spine, and printed it to fit around the new sleeves. I store the ten sleeves in the box they came in. I just had to cut off one side of the box, to become the open front. I taped copies of the original images on the outside of the box.
