Are you looking for Thanksgiving Grocery Deals? You’ve come to the right place. It’s time to stock your pantry and freezer!

Even with prices soaring due to inflation and supply chain issues, we’re still seeing some loss leaders and great sales.

Buying up Thanksgiving grocery deals is a great way to save money and make those savings last for several months.

Get Those Holiday Loss Leaders

Grocery retailers will be featuring loss-leaders on many of the trimmings for your Thanksgiving meal. This means they put a lot of food items on sale, to lure you into their grocery chain store for shopping.

There is a lot of competition for stores to capture your grocery dollars. And having sales is a way to get you to visit their store. Grocers are even willing to take a loss on some grocery items like the turkey, so you will shop with them. So keep your eyes peeled and when the price drops, stock up.

You can even stock up on items you will use all year long, not just for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Stock ups are a way for many families to capture savings on grocery items, so take advantage of this time of year. You just may discover some killer grocery deals.

Using a Freezer for Thanksgiving Deals

If you don’t have a stand-alone freezer, this might be a good time to buy one. Our freezer has been one of the greatest money-saving tools we’ve ever bought.

When our family was small (just one child) we bought our first 9-cubic-foot freezer, used, from a friend. We now have a 27-cubic-foot freezer that we use as a bank vault to store our valuable food deals.

Check out CraigsList, OfferUp,  scratch and dent outlets, and Amazon for freezer deals. If you have a free Amazon Prime membership for students or caregivers, you should be able to get free shipping.

I am an older single, and have always owned a freezer. When I moved from J to FL, I sold my upright freezer. I am now looking for a chest freezer to be placed on concrete blocks in a plastic tote, to ensure no damage to my landlord’s property if it leaked, or wold not damage the freezer in case it failed. I plan to put it in the living room, and maybe cover it with a decorative cloth or just a decorative tray.

Norma – love your idea of water protection for your landlord’s property – let us know how it turns out. Freezers are a great way to cut your grocery bill in half.

I love your ideas, and they seem great for families. But I’ve wondered how your grocery ideas on buying and stocking up can translate for someone who is single. Apartment living doesn’t always allow the space for a freezer to store items long-term until ready to use. My frig in my apartment has the freezer on the bottom, which I thought I always wanted. However, I’ve discovered that there seems to be a lot of wasted space as opposed to a top freezer.

How do your single children deal with this issue? Any plans to write a grocery budget book for singles? : )
